As we end the Fall season today, going 2-2 in the competitive 9U bracket I can’t help to think of how far we’ve come since July. We competed with some of the best teams in the state today, taking one to extra innings. Back In July, we built this team with 11 kids, 8 of which had never played in a kid pitch game. 2 of the 11 are 7 years old rounding out a total of 5 kids who are playing up in age (actually are 8U eligible). We ended the season today with a record of 12-15-1. For those knowledgeable in travel ball circles, this is a great record for a first year team/program in a smaller market area such as ours. I could not be more proud of the boys and their fight this year!!

A huge thank you to the parents and grandparents in our Lightning family. Without you and your support, nothing we’ve done this year would’ve been achievable. We are truly humbled by the trust you place with us in the development, baseball wise, of your son.

A huge thank you to the coaches (Steve Lombardi, Joe Mckinney, and Cameron McClelland) who helped plan, strategize, and execute us to where we are today. Countless hours and discussions went into forming the structure for this program. I look forward to driving us to where we want to go and couldn’t think of 3 better people to do it with.

A huge thank you to Spruce Creek High School and Coach Johnny Goodrich for the hospitality at the fields this season. It was an incredible experience for the kids to practice with and be around the athletes/coaches they look up to.

Again, thank you all for an incredible first season!! Many lessons learned and many successes to build on going into Spring!! This was just the beginning of something very special….

Thank you!!
